Located in the Sahel, Tunisia, Sousse’s Medina forms a homogeneous architectural set, reflecting Arab-Islamic urban planning applied to coastal cities throughout history in the face of piracy and the dangers of the sea. The Medina Sousse has been listed since 1988 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. No wonder why!
From the antique stretches to the open hands of generations, we tried to remain faithful to the characteristics of the aesthetic Arab setting along with the modern touch of the LED’s glow. Thus, we installed the ‘Andalus’ 40W and 70W with remote management systems to ensure reduction in consumption, real-time lighting monitoring and ensure lighting when needed and with the needed degree of lighting. In fact, such assets ensure the reduction of almost 70% of electricity consumption. The ‘Andalus’ luminaries were chosen to emphasize the identity of the medina, since its design agrees with Arab architecture.
The disturbance was chosen to illuminate the path along the medina streets. We tried to provide a warm flow of light, through which we meant to help the observers to admire the marriage of sights along with a soft view. Consequently, modern lighting technology can improve the quality of life, help in economically illuminating the setting and protect cultural heritage.
